Osteoarthritis (Hip Or Knee)

Do you suffer from osteoarthritis and looking for a more effective means of relief from the pain and discomfort that results from this disorder? If so, you may wish to consider participating in a clinical trial we have been commissioned to conduct to evaluate the potential effectiveness of a new approach to the treatment of this often times painful and debilitating disease.

Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis affecting millions of people worldwide. It is a chronic condition that causes pain, swelling, and reduced motion in your joints. It can occur in any joint, but usually it affects your hands, knees, hips or spine.

Osteoarthritis breaks down the cartilage in your joints. Healthy cartilage allows bones to glide over one another. It also absorbs energy from the shock of physical movement. In osteoarthritis, the surface layer of cartilage breaks down and wears away. This allows bones under the cartilage to rub together, causing pain, swelling, and loss of motion of the joint.

Key criteria to be eligible for participation in our clinical trial include the following:
➢ Be at least 18 years of age,
➢ Have osteoarthritis of either the hip or knee,
➢ Been clinically diagnosed by a physician,
➢ Experiencing moderate to severe pain as a result of your osteoarthritis, and
➢ Experiencing unsatisfactory response (e.g., inadequate effectiveness or problematic side effect) to commonly used pain medications (e.g., NSAIDs, opioids).

If you can answer yes to each of the criteria listed above, you may be eligible to participate in one of our clinical trials. Note: Additional entry criteria specific to individual trials may apply.

Participation is strictly confidential. Study medication, and study-related visits, procedures and tests are offered free of charge. We also offer limited financial compensation, as well as reimbursement to cover reasonable food and travel-related expenses.
